Choosing Bridal Shoes - A Practical Guide
Don’t buy your bridal shoes until you have decided on your wedding dress. Once you have your wedding dress, you will know if the length needs altering, a high heel bridal shoe may remove the need for a trip to the seamstress. However too high a heel may create a space between the hem line and ankle which isn’t pretty, resulting in a half mast look but in some cases higher heels can make a dress hang better.
You probably have shoes and sandals of varying heel heights in your wardrobe which you can use to test the for the ideal height of your bridal shoes so experiment a little to see which height goes best with your wedding dress.
If like me you find it difficult to walk in high heel shoes, then these are probably not for you, it can be a long day and tiring on your feet especially if you are going to be twirled round the dance floor a fair few times. So a medium sized heel bridal shoe can be a good idea both from the point of view of walking, comfort but also getting the wedding dress to look right.
