Using Wedding Tracker To Plan Your Wedding

 
I signed up to Wedding Tracker recently to see what all the fuss was about, it’s a site that supposedly allows you to set up wedding website dedicated solely to your wedding, knowing how difficult it can be to create a website I was dubious it would be any good. Well after signing up I was pleasantly surprised, everything was made so easy and it only took an hour to get a very professional site up and running.

The Sign Up process

The sign up process is really easy it’s just a single page and because they give you a 2 week free trial there is no demand for money.

The Web Site

Once you’ve signed up you are directed to make a web page, this is so easy, you are asked a couple questions to pick a website name and your password, they even make suggestions if you can’t think of anything.
The next stage you are presented with different templates, you can choose from flash sites or ordinary ones. I chose Tuscany because I just loved the colours. The next page lets you say something about yourselves, you don’t have to use the titles they give, I changed it from ‘How we met’ to ‘Where we met’ and inserted a picture of the Eiffel Tower, we didn’t actually meet there but in a cafe nearby but I don’t have a picture of the cafe and the Tower is much more romantic.

Extras

You can then add important event dates, attendants with pictures, role and description. Wedding Tracker has a place to put all your favourite photo’s. You can easily set up a guest book so your friends and family can leave messages for you.

The Best Bit

One of the best bits is that you can ask your guest to RSVP via your new site, which gives them a good reason to visit. Which leads on to the next bit, you can set up links to your bridal registries the really good reason for getting your guest to come to the site.

Hotels etc

Be helpful to your guests by listing a variety of good hotels and restaurants in your town. Also if they are staying a while you could point them in the direction of the best things to see. Wedding Tracker allows you to do this by making it easy to set up a page especially for the purpose.

Planning

If you want to keep a track of your wedding you can do the planning using the Wedding Tracker user interface, you can create a task assign it to a person and add a date it must be completed by. You can view all the tasks you have created on one page, see a calendar with the tasks listed.
If you’re not that good at thinking of all the little jobs that need doing then Wedding Tracker has thought of most them already and you can easily load them into your list.

Finally

There are a host of different useful tools you can use on the interface, from putting your guest lists into categories, seating plans, dinner menu creation, sending out invitations, recording gifts and sending thank you notes.
